What Can We Do?

Yesterday was another devastating day in the news. My heart aches for the families, friends, coworkers and townspeople supporting Virginia Technical University. At the same time, my heart aches for the people in our society that don't feel they can make their mark any other way than with shocking disrespect for others. No one is disposable. Each of us makes a difference in the world. Some less desirable than others.

It's very easy for us to hate the young man who chose headlines over lives. It's incredibly bile that the person looking for notoriety thought he needed a involuntary support group. There is always hope though. We can make positive differences in lives.

Consider what these guys are doing: www.ExtremeKindness.com Four friends did something more in the face of tragedy and loss and I think we can create balance from incidents of violence by following their example.

Choose to be a role model. Choose to be kind.

Nimbly,
JCM
